En dash (–): copy and paste
The en dash (–) is about the width of the letter N, longer than a hyphen and shorter than an em dash. It connects ranges and pairs: 1990–1999, pages 12–15, a London–Paris flight.
Read it as “to” or “through”. Use it without spaces around numbers and names. For a dramatic pause in a sentence, use the em dash (—) instead.
