Check mark (✓ ✔ ✅): copy and paste
The check mark (✓), called a tick in British English, marks something as done, correct or selected. Unicode has several: the light ✓, the heavy ✔, the emoji-style green ✅, and boxed versions ☑ for checklists.
✓ and ✔ take the color of the surrounding text, so they fit in documents and spreadsheets. ✅ is always a green square on phones and in chat apps, which makes it good for status lists in Slack or Notion. Pair them with ✗ or ❌ for the negative case.
