Up arrow (↑): copy and paste
The upwards arrow (↑) is a text character used for “increase”, “scroll up”, keyboard-key labels and directions. Because it is plain text it works in file names, spreadsheets, commit messages and chat.
↑ is a thin text arrow that matches the surrounding font. ⬆ renders as a colored emoji on phones. ▲ is a solid triangle often used for “up” in finance tables, and ⇧ is the Shift key symbol.
